The Rosary

Rosary

I grew up Catholic and I was taught how to pray the Rosary in Sunday school. I never really cared all that much about it as a kid. But as an adult, I have grown to be fascinated with it. I wanted to incorporate it into my worship life but I am no longer Catholic, and I don't believe in praying to the saints so the Hail Mary is kind of a nonstarter for me. But after a little research, I decided to create my own way of praying the Rosary! I orignally started with something called the Ecumenical Miracle Rosary. It was designed as a way for non-Catholic Christians to pray the Rosary, but I had issues with this one too. I found it too unnecessarily complicated to memorize, in addition to it including a creed I didn't affirm, and the fact that I wanted my Rosary to encompass the core of the Christian faith, I created this one! I am intending it to, as I said, get at the core of our faith. I included the Greatest Commandments, meditations on key biblical events, and meditation on how we as Christians can live our faith and walk our talk in the world.
